High Idle?

Can anyone tell me what the outside air temp F* has to be for the factory high idle function to auto engauge? It has been in the low 30's the last few mornings and has not engauged yet even after 2+ minutes of idle time. My dealer wants $85 to add the manual feature with the starscan but I refuse to pay that for something that will take them 5 minutes and no labor to do.

I can't tell you the exact temp you're asking for, but when its in the low 30's my truck will cycle into the high idle mode. But then its parked outside almost all the time...don't know if that contributes anything to its activation.
I had a dealer install the high idle feature while doing one of the "recall" flashes a year or so ago. They did it n/c and they weren't the dealer where I made the purchase. Its a very handy option.

~32° or lower for 1,000 rpms after 2 minutes; ~15° or lower for 1,000 rpms immediately at startup.
