you know, sterling makes a strong truck. I wonder how long the front end on one of those class 5 Cab and chassis models with a nice big flatbed would hold up compared to a dodge?

I called sterling out of N.J. and spoke with a salesman. Said on thursday they were having a meeting and they might be told what the cost of those trucks might be. He said he was guessing anywhere from 30k to 50k.He said to give a call back after thursday and they should know more about pricing.

Disappointment again. I was hoping the 5500 would be more than 26k in combined ability, and no real crew cab with 8ft left over.
Searched a dealer in my location, and it was a Ford Dealer in Orlando. Their truck division.

This thread made me start to wonder why since DC owns Detroit Diesel and DD makes the MBE900 motor why then doesn't Dodge have these in them instead of the Cummins. Does any one know? It would only seem logical to me to use a engine that is produces by some part of the same company rather than go out side.
