Help! Remote TPS info...

Can anyone tell me when cummins moved away from the remote TPS? What are the advantages/disadvantages alternatives? Cost of parts? "Any" info would be appreciated.

I believe all the 3rd gens are drive by wire, not cable and TPS.

Drive by wire didn't start until the 05' trucks.

Think that at least the 04.5's were also drive by wire and possibly earlier.
