Have I been 'Flashed'

OK, build date for my truck was June '07. How do I know if the truck has the latest flash? From what I understand I should have a sticker somewhere in the engine compartment??? Can anyone help with this? So far it has been great, good fuel mileage and such, so it's more for my info then anything else, Thank you.

Don't think they put stickers on at the factory. The dealer puts the sticker on when they do the flash. Only way to tell is swing by the dealer and have them check by the VIN number.

New PCM flash came out on 29 Aug (version AU). The June 12th flash was version AT. If your truck was built after June 12th, you have version AT. I'd recommend getting the latest version (like a computer BIOS). The dealer will put a sticker on your radiator support like the picture below (shows old version AT).

latest greatest update came out about a week and a half ago. End suffix goes from "T" to "U".

My dealer didn't put any stickers on mine after the flash.

Use this to tell if you have any new flashes or recalls.

I am heading to the dealer next week at their convenience for the latest "au" flash and hopefully the cel issues will be gone.

Also I asked the dealer (service dept.) about the sticker when they did the "at" flash and they said it is not required. They would put one on if requested.

I will keep everyone posted on how well the update goes.

I am not having any issues with mine, built in Jan 07, and I am wondering if I should do these updates? I have 6,000 miles and have towed heavy (12k) more than a dozen times, local driving and occasional commuting (about 35 miles one way). Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Just like any other computer, it's usually wise to always have the latest patches and bug fixes installed. I would take it in and request they read the ECM/PCM for update versions, check for codes, and install all of the latest SW updates.

I tried to take mine in awhile ago and to have another flash and they wont do it unless you have a problem. I guess you could tell them it stumbled a few times or something. If they had a flash to help you mileage that would be great.

I took my truck in yesterday for the CEL and was told not to do the flash that a recall was coming out soon for the DPF and it would be ok to drive it until then. I was wondering if anyone else has heard this as I have not read anything about it here. The truck seems to be running normal so I did not push the issue that hard.
