My 03 5.9 gets about 18 all the time but has a 4spd and a bullydog programmer and stock tires. Programmer gave me an extra 2-2.5 mpg.

My 2001 2500, lwb, 2x2, auto, 3:55 amsoil, and Edge EZ would do 23 on the road and 10.5 towing the 10,000 travel trailer. My 2004 2500, lwb, 2x2, auto, 4:10, Amsoil, and Quadzilla xzt would do 20 on the road and 10.5 towing. I now have a 2008 3500 DRW, 4x4, lwb, auto., 4:10, does 16.1 on the road and 13 with my slide in truck camper.

16.88 is the ammount of fuel you put in or your average mpg's?

I'm sure it was his MPG.

Before lift I averaged 15-17 commuting 23 miles to work, which takes 50-65 minutes depending on accidents and such.

I got 15 going from SF to LA and back averaging 80-85mph.

Recently got 21.6 mpg, hand calculated, on a long trip under optimum conditions. Typical is 17-18 mpg hwy, 16 mpg city.

The last time I was able to get over 20 mpg while driving 55 MPH was when I could still get LSD back in 2007, with ULSD I can not get over 20 mpg, that's a loss of 1.75 mpg and I have to use fuel additives to get what I do, when using LSD I never used additives to get my best mpg numbers.
