FASS System ??

O.K., I'm posting this question here because I'm not considering the FASS a high performance accessory in my situation. My MC remains stock until I receive the FASS system that is on the way...a gift from my son. So my question is... Is there anyone out there with an '08, or even better, an '09 - that is running a FASS system on their mostly stock 6.7.

I was doing some reading on the internet about the noise they make and I have a friend who is the lead Diesel Mechanic at our local Dodge dealer who confirmed this fact; albeit, it was a while ago when he installed one.

I've gone to YouTube and listened to a few videos; one of them sounded extremely loud, even when the truck is running. The others sounded noticeable on startup, but once the truck was running, it sounded tolerable.

So, my question... are they annoying?

Thanks

These fuel system have gone a long ways from the past couple years. these systems are alot quieter then what they use to be. I had the newer 95series fass system on my 04 and i plan on one for this.. i could barely hear it..

Guys on other forums say you have to make sure you have them on a RUBBER MOUNT, otherwise they will be VERY LOUD!

Still doing my research on this, but in the kit there is a rubber pad that looks to go between he truck frame and mount bracket.

Yes, there is a rubber pad to insulate noise.

the newer pumps are 100 times quieter than the older versions. have a friend here in town we did one on his 2nd gen and I had to reach under the truck and feel it to make sure it was on. could not hear it at all
