Drove my first 350hp 6.7 this morning........
Got our first one in this morning. It is a manual so it is not the 650 ft-lbs of torque, but still the 350hp. These things are gonna be hard to beat. The first thing I notice is the quietness at idle, man they are quiet! Just like on the cab & chassis's there is virtually no turbo lag thanks to the VGT. This factory installed engine brake is gonna sell us a lot of trucks also, works so smoothly. I am really excited about the new engine and I think our sales are going to grow. I will report on the new 68rfe when my first one hits the ground, which will be any day now.

The Dodge website says there is no difference between manual and automatic. What gives?

Well, it's kind of an illusion. It doesn't feel like it has that umph that the 5.9 has, but that is because the torque curve is so darn flat thanks to the VGT. Personally, for my money, I wouldn't trade a truck that new. You are gonna take some kinda bath on it, I don't care what kind of numbers they show you on paper with their "fuzzy math". But, I am conservative. If a guy had a truck that had a lot of miles and needed to trade, I'd say have at it. If you got a lot of money and can afford to trade, go ahead. But if you are not wealthy, like me, I would keep the one you got.

I'm going to get mine
Yep, dealer called me last night, it's finally here. 3500, 4 door, short bed, 2wd, 6.7CTD manual 6 speed Big Horn. I can't wait.
My old truck was a 98 Dakota with a 4 cylinder and 256,000 miles. Top speed; 68.

Looking foward to the new Ford getting at the local dealership too.... Want to test them back to back with the auto's!! I wonder when the mags will do another shootout with the new Diesels????
