DPF Delete Question
Ok guys I may be showing my ignorance here but here it goes.....
I know that the dpf kits on the market have some type of fooler box with them.
My question is what would the repercussions be of not having the fooler box and sensor bungs in the delete.
For example if I just went down to the local chop shop and straight piped it?
Would this cause just a simple check engine light that could be managed with an edge system, or would the problems go deeper such as regen issues and such. Just curious.
Oh and sorry if this has been addressed but I'm at work and its kinda tough to navigate the forums on my blackberry.

You would be in deep doo doo... Limp mode is no fun. If it were that easy then we would all be doing it instead of spending hundreds of dollars on these kits..
I have read that all you need are some 400 ohm resistors in the egt probe connections (that's where the foolers plug in too) and then you don't even need foolers. I cannot confirm this and nobody wants to try it yet. There are three egt probes in your exhaust....

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't want to Shortcut anything and should have figured that if it was that easy then everyon else would have done it already.
If you can survive for a while, and you don't want codes and CELs, then I would suggest waiting for the code free kits to come out and be truly code free. The DPF-R kit seems promising....
