Delivery Date for 4500/5500's ?
Ok, I know there are some members here that are dealerships or work at them, so my question is when are the 4500/5500 CC hitting the lots? I was watching info and they were supposed to have the first ones rolling off the assembly line at the end of the month, but my 5 star locally says that they are not slotted to have any at there lot until the middle of October
. So can anyone with knowledge on this chime in and let us know the actual ship dates. I am in need for new service trucks, but would rather not go the other two routes.

I have 2 sitting on my bookcase right now. They may be cardboard from Dodge's ad included with two of my fleet magazines I get here at work, but they are 5500 stake beds straight from Dodge.
Production starts on the 30th of this month. I suspect they will put them all instorage for quality audits for at least two or three weeks, then they will start trickling out. Some dealers will have some by the end of august, and by september they will really be showing up.
Thanks Luke S, I guess my dealer was not far off because we are located in Florida, and it takes a little longer to get here. Maybe I can locate some earlier in TX, while my brother is relocating my sister to Dallas, already kinda asked him if I found them, if he would make a slight detour to Fl before heading north. Thanks again Luke

Ya I am pretty hot under the collar about the 4500/5500's. I have about 10 customers who would place an order right now if Dodge would let me sell them, but they are only going to let the Businesslink dealers sell. I won't sign up to be a business link dealer because they make you keep four Sprinter vans and two Sprinter cab & chassis along with one of every other model in the Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep lineup, and I do not want to keep a Viper or any of the SRT's or any of the Sprinters because I am in a very rural market and could never sell them. I sell on average 5-10 3500 cab & chassis a month and I'd probably do that many of the bigger ones. There is only one dealer in eastern Missouri who they are gonna let sell em.
I hear you about the cab chassis, Fairbanks whom I am on a personal; basis with is not going to be a business link either, so I have to go to Monarch, they are closer but I do not have that one on one relationship with them, and not to happy about it, probably going to overpay here because of the market. So I will look around in Texas or that general area.
The dealer here will not even let you order them, or get on a business link list, kinda tee's me off, I told monarch that I need two but as always they tell me they will call as soon as they hit the lot.

DSL, You ordered them through a dealer? Did you do a build sheet? They won't even take the request here. Maybe its the business link dealer, tee's me, because I was at pometto ford installing some UST's and the saleman said I could order a sterling, but cann't order a DC.

I am a dealer. There is no Business Link program in Canada. We use the good old Turn and Earn system...which really doesn't work. I am Five Star with some of the highest CSI and SSI scores in the Province. I also have over 30% market share in my area, but if I won't negotiate with the Factory to take some Dogs, then I do not get the Hot product. Five Star really makes no difference to Chrysler...although I do believe it is the best way to conduct business.
