I was just on a road trip threw the mountains when my 6.7 turned over 10 000km and the over head started to read my dpf was clogged.. i was loosing my mind being a couple hundred km from the nearest town and no phone service for another 100km.. So as i limped it on and took it easy, it slowly start to come down from 100% clogged and after about a hour it was perfect again, reading system ok. but now iam worried also because she is smokin off the start and then when i lay into her hard.. trucks seems to be pulling ALOT harder.. Fuel mileage seems to be the same. but iam going to give my dealer a call this next week to make sure everything is good..

I wonder if it's pulling harder if maybe it has to go through a couple of regenerations and learn what it can do?

Looks like everyone has come to the conclusion that the DPF robs power. Lets Kill 'Em!

Juice for the 6.7

BBarnet,
Could you fill me in on what you guys think of the juice on 6.7?
I'm sure alot of us are curios about specs, mileage, power etc.
Thanks.

To all,
The power of the juice is great. It really wakes the truck up. Plus with the attitude you can monitor, I believe 15 diff. parameters. It tells when you are in regeneration mode, trans. slip , and so on. Level 5 is 85 hp with 200 lbs, and level 6 is the hot unlock with 100 hp and 250 lbs. Fuel mileage is better but not great, recent 200 mile trip I averaged 19 mpg. Around town if I keep my foot out of it I get around 15-16 mpg, but that is with only 2500 miles on the truck. Honestly I belive that its worth the money because you get alot with the juice/att. combo. If yall have any questions at all feel free to pm me.

Just wondering if anybody else is having this issue with the 6.7 and what i need to do to fix it. Thanks
OK, Now tell us all your secret on how to "cook" in the kitchen and smoke the tube out?

(burn out the pipe?) Just kidding!

Haha... Not too sure how it happened. The dealer called me yesterday to tell me my part was in. We talked a bit and decided to hold off on it. It does seem to have more power and i like the smoke. If it cant hurt then i like it the way it is. The dealer was also saying that i would be more than likely running better with it like this. Hey if i can find out how to burn them up, ill let ya'll know

Is it just me or has it hit other people.... How as adults with an expensive new truck we get so excited about tearing up a new part on the truck? (I mean helping it cook real good)

WOOOOOO HOOOO Call me FIRST!!!

Someone is going to chime in and say GET YOUR *** IN THE DEALER AND GET THAT FIXED..... your going to tear up your whole truck and void your warranty Those post make me smile

just driving your truck with a burnt out cat doesnt void the warranty... I'm not sure why mine smokes so much, but hey, it runs strong, never had any probs with the Catalyst clogging, never even had it bring up the "Catalyst Stat" thing on the overhead... but i drive 100 Miles highway at 80 MPH Monday thru Friday. prolly burning off during my commute

I had a CEL for an exhaust sensor reading outrageously high, the dealer replaced sensor, reflashed me & sent me on my way... truck still drives the same, I added an S&B intake & that seemed to liven things up a bit...

noticed for the first time today when I jump in the throttle in 3rd from a slow roll, black smoke pours out until I hear the turbo spool up good then it goes away. Just rolled over 2k, never noticed the smoke before

These 6.7s might be OK. Just drive it hard and it bombs itself . I wonder where all the burned out catalyst material goes? Into the DPF? Hmmm. Sounds like they make good power, get good mileage, are self bombing, and smoke on command. What else is there?
