Any one tried a smoke switch on a 6.7?

Dad has a 6.7 and loves my smoke switch, but I keep telling him that it won't work on his. He will not believe me so maybe y'all can explain to him why it won't work. Thanks
Oh yeah he does not have a programmer another reason why it won't work not enough fuel.

A smoke switch pretty much tells your computer that the turbo is at full boost when it isn't. So when you first punch the pedal your computer knows that you are not at full boost so it only gives you so much fuel, but when your turbo is at full boost around 20-25 psi stock your computer will give it full fuel. More fuel low end more smoke. Turbos clear the smoke.

Just a cheap laugh, well not exactly at 4$ a gallon.

With all that emission stuff under the truck, even if a smoke switch were possible you would see very little to no smoke because of the exhaust filters.

Cool Smoke switch

Don't know about anyone else but why in the world would you do that any way? Seems pretty childish to me.Can't see how it's very good for your engine.Stunts like that only make the tree huggers demand more devices on our trucks.JMHO.

you'll plug the dpf. It's job is to capture particulate matter (black sooty smoke).

Yeah thats right, put in a "smoke switch" to put even more black soot out there. No wonder the tree huggers want to shut us down!

No it will not work on the 6.7 but if you have certain off road products on your truck and unplug the map sensor while the truck is running and then plug it back in it will throw a code and turn on the lighting bolt light and derate the motor, it will dump out smoke like a 5.9. Remember there is a time to show off with smoke and times not to. This works 3/5 times. The guy that is modding my truck figured this out he knows his stuff on these 6.7s. He runs kmk diesel performance here in idaho.
