Are they gear units? I don't deal with the new trucks...give me a locker or a Clutch type LSD, none of these gear driven piles...

I thought these new gear bias units were supposed to be a 3:1 bias no matter what? If one wheel just sits and spins, I'll stick with my clutch LSD

I've found the LSD in my '06 to be far more effective than the LSD in the '99 ever was.

Just my expereince.

I really haven't tried my new on but the antispin in the 97 worked a lot better after changing to Amsoil. No chatter but it will hold!

if the new ones don't have clutches, how do they work?

my mercury uses the computer to apply the brakes to the wheel that's slipping... it works pretty good

Which Tracrite comes in our trucks? The PC or the GT? The clutchless GT doesn't use friction modifier.....could that be the one?

You never want a full locker if you are pulling a trailer, unless it is a selectable locker. You'd get torque steer if the load & your tire pressure wasn't perfectly even. The tire wear would be horrible & I haven't had one that didn't sould like I had steel ball bearing packed in my diff.
