Why does this bother me so much?

Apparently my wife brushed against one of the trees in my front yard a few days ago. It took the paint off my passenger side fender flare in two places each about the size of a dime. I guess my #1 problem with the whole situation is that my truck is messed up but can someone tell me how someone can hit a tree in their front yard. I mean it's not like trees move, unless you hit them, so I just can't understand it.

I guess I can either get it painted, replace with a "like new" OEM fender flare, or ask Santa for some Bushwackers. Of course, I really don't know any painters in the area so color matching is always a scare. I don't rekon any of you have a gold OEM flare laying around?

Rule number 1. The wife's designated position is in the passenger seat.

Mine hit the mailbox with my 08 Mega. Cost me a rear quarter being repainted.

The addition of a G56 to the '11 prevented any future occurrences.

Buy some color match touch up paint and fix it. Don't make a big deal out of it as it is only a truck. My guess is she did not do it on purpose and probably feels bad about it. No need to make her feel worse than she already does.

Trust me brother, if I were home, she would most definately not be driving it. I imagine a 5'2" its pretty hard for her anyway. I guess the funny thing is that she said she did not even feel it. She just noticed when it was slapping the underbelly of the truck.

Good advice. I wish sometimes I could keep my mouth shut. I was initially irate but as the conversation went on I realized that its not a big deal.

I'm still pssd, I'm just keeping it to myself

My wife performed a similar stunt with our GMC Acadia. However, she hit the garage door while its was opening when backing out of the garage. This ended up scratching the glass and the paint on the trunk. The thing that really peeved me was that she lied about it at first. I realized she had lied once we got back from vacation and figured out that her part of the story was a complete fabrication. I think in this case I had a right to be angry.

What he said.

It's a truck, it's going to get scratched. Even the the grocery getters are going to catch a shopping cart one of these days.

Holy Crap B

I just saw this on my puter instead of my phone.

Id throw the whole truck away! Not worth a thing anymore. How could you possibly drive that junker around!

Before you do though, shoot me those nozzles and those 625's

I think you can get painted flares direct from the dealer though. Give em a call. Might be pricey, but matched.

Derail in progress.

How does that thing run with the stocker VGT and the nozzles. EGTs? Laggy? Tow any with it?

Woops! Give her a kiss and say I love you dear, it's only a truck. Then when you send the post hole digger against the tail gate like I did
you can say its only a truck. That is why I have insurance. I try hard to keep them nice but they do get gravel rash and I get over it.

You had me laughing!!

As far as the truck's performance, I run it on "HOT" aggressive turbo tuning 100% of the time. EGT's max out around 1300 with no load, but, I have to run on "Mild" aggressive turbo tuning when towing. I have not updated my sig but I also have the GDP Air Boss 67, the MEGA Intake Manifold, the GDP silicone boost tube, and the GDP Pro Gate system. Truck is amazing, not problems at all thus far.

Stand by for my water/meth!!

Good to know. Thanks bud.

Im going to do some DDP90's when I do the 625's. Was just a little worried about running the nozzles with the VGT.
