Another Regen QUESTION

Just wanted to know if the Cummins engine is having the same problems as the other 2 with the regen when you start installing tuners, or monkeying around with the trucks programing. I just want to know if you leave them stock are they giving any trouble as a majority. JUST WONDERING. THANKS.

I haven't had a bit of trouble with mine at 10,000 miles so far. My motor is stock though.

Based on comments from TDR I'd say the majority of stock engines are doing fine. However, my best guess is that 10-15% are having troubles. The latest reflashes seem to be taking care of most of the problems, but there are still a few out there that are experiencing difficulty.

At least we haven't seen any major problems with injectors and that sort of thing. Fuel dilution of the oil is a problem with trucks that aren't worked hard as they must go through an active regen more often. Oil change interval will be indicated more often than expected with engines driven around town.

Have 15000 on mine and had 2 flashes done and new O2 sensor . Never had a minute's problem with it , just thru codes a few times. Seems OK now after sensor replaced and latest flash.

My last reflash was done back in July and I haven't had one since. I am waiting, per the service dept., for the newest reflash because the o2 sensors are on backorder? Does that sound right? I still haven't had a bit of trouble though.
