I've looked at all that, and the Tundra is made in San Antonio and contains about 90% of its parts from the United States, while the Dodge 2500 is made in Mexico. The Chevy 1500 is made in Mexico too.

I'm a big fan of the United States. I'm part Mexican and I won't even buy produce that says "Mexico" on it. I don't trust them.

Anyway, I believe today is D-day for my truck purchase.

BTW - My 3500 Dodge dually 4WD with a 5.9 has now bumped up to a 19+mpg since I found some LSD instead of the crappy ULSD to run in it. I'm not complaining.

Dodge should be out of business, and alot of the people running it should be in prison.
I'd buy the Toyota.

I still can't believe you haven't looked at the GM product... I mean at least you'll get some of your tax dollars back when they rebate it .

Don't take this the wrong way but where on earth did you hear the toyota is 90% made in the US? In a survey done not that long ago showed that Dodge was 78% Chevy 81% and Ford 79% made in US. the 2007 Toyota was only 54%. Yes the Dodge (and others) is ASSEMBLED in Mexico but that's all, just like the toyota (mostly foreign parts, whole company is foreign) is only ASSEMBLED in Texas.

Also why are you looking at a Ram 2500 but a 1500 Toyota or Chevy? Right now with employee pricing plus and a free Hemi for the month of March makes the 2009 Ram 1500 a sweet deal. Plus the 2009 Ram 1500 is made right here in the US.

This is AMERICA and we ALL need to do our part! I've owned a SLEW of NISSANS and one Toyota since mids 70s but NOT NOW and won't if ever again! My 98 1500 has been trouble free and their built much better now.Same with Ford and GMs.Let Toyota and the others imports starve.Nissan TITAN rated one of the worst buys due to pricing and fuel mileage, size. I read that other day in a consumer advise article..Could have changed the word to TUNDRA as the the description was no different.

It would take alot more than whats available to get me into another American car. I just recently traded my wifes 03 Toyota Camry in (this car was loaded to the gills). At the time, the only American made car that I was interested in was the Caddilac CTS. I went and looked at it, and yes it had more power, but it also was a big downgrade in the terms of interior finishes, and controls. So that was the first car off my list, I had now choose between Lexus/BMW/Infiniti, all foreign cars, all much nicer than the American counterpart, and all priced below the Caddi.

For a truck?? I won't buy another Dodge, in fact I'm keeping this one until the wheels fall off, and then who knows if an American truck will even be available. I honestly could care less!!

The window sticker on the Tundra says that 90% of the parts it is made with come from the United States, including the engine and tranny. On top of that, it is made in San Antonio. I realize that the "profits" go to Japan.

Sounds like a few here need to go and find some buds on those forums. The OTHER thing that turned me off on Jap junk is the way the Japanese treat Americans in Hawaii.Friend of mine that moved back from there said the Japs made life hard on his childeren and despised Americans.Between that, history and the economy I detest spending a penny outside of America.Love it or or leave it.

Could you please get a picture of that and post it? (Not that I don't believe you, just want to see it since on the toyota forums everyone says the transmission is from Japan)
