Any one here have any info. about the 08's? Any changes being made to the 6.7 and just curious as to when we should start seeing them on the lot.

I'm still on the edge as far as an 06, 07, or wait for the 08's to come out.

08 should come around mid september or beginning october.....

 

I believe they open the order book around mid August with delivery for October thereabouts. I ordered my 06' on this timeframe. Lot inventory may show up in September.

Like you, I'm on the sidelines about whether to order an 08' or wait til 09'. I am curious about the 6.7 motor and its emissions performance/reliability.

Recent posts about the 07s' have been informative. I'm in a wait and see mode.

 

ordering has been going since first week of june. i ordered an 08 mega dually laramie 6 speed manual on the 6th of june. expected to hit the lot last week of august, first week of september. hopng no drastic body changes like the rumours of the new front clip like the nitro/1/2 ton spy photos.

 

My first 08' is going to hit the lot any day. It's an 08' 3500 Mega cab dually. I'll let ya'll know of any changes. Any if at all will be minor.

 

From what I could detect from the Commercial site...There will not be any Larado s available with 8 foot beds and leather will not be available for the rear seat on quad cabs. The 5.9 will be an option available for commercial buyers with 4 speed autos and 6 speed manuals. Yellow will be an optional color for 1500s only. Bright White is to be replaced with Stone White. 4500s and 5500 come with 4.44 rear ratios. Simulated wood grains to be changed to another color wood graining.

 

Halftrek I'll believe it when I see it...and the info about a 5.9 w/ a 4 speed for commercial trucks must be a joke, because the 5.9 is gone completely now due to emissions, and the 4 speed is now a 6 speed.

 

The 5.9 engine is still available for underground mining companies and they are derated to like 200 hp or something and will only run 35 or 40 mph.
