???Diesel Truck Models/Makes???
???Diesel Truck Models/Makes???
Hello everyone!!! New to the board here... Hope'n to find some info!!!
I want a Diesel truck! After watching an episode of Trucks on saturday. They took a diesel with 190hp to 455 with very little modification.
I would like a 4WD, 7ft. or more bed, truck. I don't know which models/makes come in diesel and the internet isn't helping any more. Autotrader.com used to have a decision guide that would let you search vehicles by style, type, room, fuel, etc... No more... >
I would appreciate it if you all could either list off the various models/makes or give me a good website to research this stuff.
Thanks!!!!
Travis

Re:???Diesel Truck Models/Makes???
well.......if you want a "true" diesel, get a dodge 8)....you should get some interesting feedback from this post...go here..www.dodgeram.org....you'll learn alot about dodge's, as for the "other's"...do a search under "recalls" or "tsb's" on the internet (just kidding) seriously, dodge is the only way i can point you...good luck and welcome

Well...based on that, you could get one of the following:
Dodge 2500/3500 4WD w/Cummins
Ford F-250/F-350 4WD w/PSD
Chevy 2500/3500 4WD w/Duramax
All three of the "Big 3" make what you're looking for in multiple configurations. All three can also be "turned up" to make some amazing horsepower and torque. In my opinion, Ford makes the best truck of the three, but Dodge has the best engine of the three. I get the impression that this is more a truck that you WANT than it is a truck that you NEED, so the reality is that you probably can't go wrong with any of the three. Hope that gives you a starting point.
If you want to learn all you want to know about the diesel equipped Dodge trucks, then hang around here and do some research. If you're interested in Fords, check out www.thedieselstop.com. If it's Chevy/GMC that you like....well, you're on your own there.

Re:???Diesel Truck Models/Makes???
Interesting note:
I was reading a truck magazine the other day and they were having a shootout between the Ford 6.0 and Chevs Duramax. Ford took the pie without a problem but I started wondering why Dodge wasn't there. A little farther into the article it said that Dodge chose not to be there. Whats with that guys??? There was two other brands there to pull it up the rest of the hill and save total embarrasment. ha ha It would have been interesting to see the three head to head, or two ahead of Dodge.
