REGEN? truck is blowing black smoke then DPF is no good, (cracked internally) , Over fueling most likely injectors are stuck, is oil level overfull mark? Air filter not plugged? no leaking boost hoses? you may hear a whistle noise when under load. What does boost pressure show on dash gauge when WOT? All sensors are plugged in and locked? MAF, TMAP, FCA, Fuel pressure sensor, no codes setting? Last truck I had with this issue customer set a shop rag on air filter, then installed air filter cover. You know what happen next.

Do you have a Boost Gauge? Seems like your turbo may not be delivering enough air for the load. Could be an issue with the turbo, or leaking issue with the intercooler or the flexible tubes. Sometimes, if the flex tubes are cracked, it only shows when under pressure and is difficult to find.
