Wix 49946 Air Filter $19.95 + 4.95 shipping...

I was price matching the new Wix 49946, similiar to MOPAR 53034249 air filter.

Summit Racing has them for $19.95 plus 4.95 shipping.

I usually support Geno, but maybe next time.

The new Mopar filter is worth the extra money, will allow more air and will hold more dirt and will protect the engine.

Not sure what you mean by holding more, flowing more, both Wix and Mopar are the same size.

From another thread:

"53034249AA (New Dodge air filter) identical to WIX P/N 49946 and Napa P/N FIL9946. Printed on the filter it states that it has a dust capacity of 540g, max air flow rate = 675 cfm, max pressure drop = 0.36 psi. It has 42 "pleats" and they are 3.75" tall. Efficiency is 99.6%. Cost is approx $26, but may be as high as $33"

New 4 inch one:

Even with shipping, that is $4.00 cheaper than I pay locally at Napa.

Nope... mine is just your standard Fleetguard filter with the prefilter overlay.
I dont need the extra filtering capacity. Truck is stock, really doesnt spend any time travelling down gravel/dirt roads. I change the filter every 20k miles.

I've tried the Wix and Napa air filter and neither one would not let the top of that air box seal all the way so had to buy a Mopar at the dealer.

You sure you weren't getting the 6.7 filter by mistake?

I had 3 different people look to be sure they had given me the correct filter and they all said that both filters I tried were the correct air filter. It would of been easier on my pocket book if the filter had work as the new style Mopar cost me $37.00
