Is Wix fuel filter good enough?

I have no choice today but to put a Wix filter on, no others where in stock at my local parts dealer. I have used Wix for all of my other trucks(gas) and cars and never had a problem. Just want some input. Thanks.

Wix makes a very good filter AFAIK , that's what we use on our CTD and most of our farm equipment.

WIX should be a "Good Enough" filter.

At least it's better than a FRAM filter!

OPPS! I've gone and said the "F" word now...

Wix filters are made by the Dana Company. They also make NAPA filters. 90% of the time when I get the Wix or NAPA fuel filters they are reboxed FleetGuard Stratopore filters. I can buy them at NAPA for about 2 dollars less that the Fleetguard from Freightliner.

Tom is correct, the Fleetguard fuel filters are nothing more than repainted Wix, same as Napa Gold.
The Fleetguard oil filter are made by Fleetguard though and are a higher quality than Wix.
The Wix oil filters work just fine though, both my CTDs have over 200k on them.
In fact I use Wix filters on all my rigs and farm equipment, it's hard to beat the one day 90% off Wix sale my local auto parts has every year where I still end up spending over $1000 on filters.

I checked into the one day a year sale before and found that it is sponsored by Wix but individual auto parts stores can choose whether or not to participate. They call it Wix Farm Day.
