Who's installed the new hydro boost pump?

So my '07 has been a hydro boost pump eater.
OE pump made it about 70k mi with maintenance. Next one, a rebuilt lasted about 30k, got a bad one lasted 2k mi. All of these just gradually crapped out til they groaned all the time and lost power assist. Another rebuilt (all the parts stores are the same mfg) got about 15k out of it and it blew a seal and puked oil everywhere. All but the first one had an inline filter installed and syn fluid 100%.
Finally sacked up and spent $500 on the new improved OE pump from Dodge.
Belt started squeaking with this one. Figured it was from all the oil that got on the belt and solvents to clean it up.
Nope, the new pump pulley doesn't line up quite right and it's eating the belt slightly after about 1000 mi!
I pressed on the new pulley exactly flush with the end of the shaft just like all the others. Original belt by the way, never an issue.
W T F?
The new ultra expensive pump doesn't even line up right. Bad enough it didn't come with a retainer bolt and the bolt is a different size than the OE pump, but to not line up right?
I've mostly got great things to say about this truck but this is ridiculous.
Anyone else have this issue?
I replaced the belt on the off chance that maybe it will help, but mainly because my wife is sick of it squealing and I won't be around to put a dab of dielectric grease on it every week to keep it quiet.
Guess Ill have to pull the pulley out slightly from flush and loctite the bolt in. Too bad I anti seized it already......
Can't understand why mine used to eat pumps and why such a simple part can't be made to hold up to normal use.
Any fixes out there that I may not be aware of?

i think it is odd that it is eating so many pumps. Have you checked everything out to see if there are any kinked hoses or something else that would cause restriction to flow.
Is fluid getting to hot and killing the pump?
Are there any other signs of something wrong, power steering box going bad or??
it just seems really wrong to be going through that many pumps so fast.
there has to be something else causing this, is the cooler plugged or blocked?

I've checked most all of what you said. Cooler and lines are clear. In fact replaced the pressure lines last time around. Return lines are clean as was the filter when I took it apart.
To be clear, the OE pump didn't go out, I replaced it along with the steering box just because the steering box put some metal shavings into the system and seemed like cheap insurance.
I really think the rebuilt pumps are just poor quality as there hasn't been consistency in the failure mode or mileage.
So far so good with the updated OE pump. Ifs still a dinky little thing but at least it doesn't look like an old tractor part with fresh paint!
Haven't popped the hood since I've been back home to see if it's chewing on the new belt but it's still on the same tank of fuel so not too many miles yet on the new belt.
