I run the SHell Rotella, ran it on my '92 & '01 PSD, will probably switch to AMSOIL or Royal Purple Synthetic at 20K.

I did until the CJ came out, so now I'm running Delo because I can still get it with the CI rating, I don't like the lubrication numbers with the CJ oils.

Care to share the numbers? I'm interested in what is so bad about CJ oils compared to CI.

I run the non-synthetic Shell Rotella. As far as I am concerned it is THE diesel engine oil.

I switched from 15-40 to 5-40 synthetic rotella about 20,000 miles ago. Synthetic made a very noticable improvement during cold starts and a slight improvement in MPG.

Understand that the Rotella synthetic is a group three syn. and not a group four.Main differance is the group three does not have the longer change interval. No differant then regular Rotella.Group 4 synthetic gives you a longer run time but cost more $

I run Rotella T 15/40 all year long. We run it in everything from our tractors to our big trucks to heavy equipment to our pickups. Never had a problem.
