Who DOESNT have a problem

Seems everyone with a 2004-2005 has some kind of problem be it vib or knock..What the heck is going on with these trucks. I bought the truck before I found this site. I wish I had found it first. My decision may have been different.

My 04 has had new rear universals twice and now when you turn to the right the airbag light comes on. Other than that nothing major except the clutch slips a lot.

21,000 miles since June 04, the only problem is I have to stop driving it to put fuel in it.

JUST SAY NO!!
No vibration
No door seal problems
No cabin smell
No dead pedal
No romps
No cold start problems
No fuel mileage issues (18 - 19 MPG combined)
No transmission problems
No rear end problems

I think when you join a forum, most everyone on here is here to complain about something and often it's not even a problem, it's just a question about something that they THINK is a problem. I too am at times and have been one of these people. All in all the 04's and 05's don't have a major problem except for the vibe which mine had but is now gone. If you are angry that you didn't find this site before you bought, then you haven't looked at the chevy forums either. And I know you haven't looked at the Ford sites...... Oh man, if you want to read about problems then thats your place. I could understand the way you are feeling if you had bought an f250, but the dodges seem to be doing well overall. Just my .02

Only one - my belt shredding incident last August - still unexplainable. However, I have not (knock wood - ALOT of wood) had any of the others. My truck runs smooth as silk, no injector problems (and I'm an early-build: Jan 04), no vibes, nuttin'. Possibly a veeeerrry slight coolant seepage at the lower radiator hose clamp - I'll have the dealer look at it in a couple weeks.

If I can just get past being nervous about the belt thing, I could REALLY love this truck.

No problems except for vibe at 75. And its not as bad as others describe theres to be. This is the best truck I have owned yet. These forums are here to help people with problems, and to help familiarize new diesel owners with their trucks. They are a complete different animal than gassers. Sound different, they make noises, pull different and maintained different and the steady torque and power is more than most drivetrains can handle. And it is very hard to find a post about somebody with a REAL problem with there Dodge on this forum or others. But when they do arise thats what were here for. If reading about major problems on diesel pickup trucks is what your after, by all means go to the other sites, he!! they might even talk you in to buying one of the other brands. And you can post with them about real problems too Remember anything thats mass produced will not be perfect no matter what brand you chose. Some worse than others ( the other brands sites will help you more in that category) All in all lighten up and enjoy you truck. Unless its to bad to drive
