When I change my oil can I dump the waste oil into the gas tank?

I've also wondered about this. I use a TP bypass filter that I change every 2K or so. I would hope that my oil would have less fine particulates than if I did not have the Frantz.

I have dumped a gallon in a nearly full tank a few times and see an improvement in power and slight decrease in engine noise. Of course, with only 37K on the truck, I am less than 10% to the expected overhaul mileage. I plan to keep using the WMO generated by my truck, but not any other used oils, unless I filter them with a sock type filter.

It seems like Cummins specs a maximum percentage of WMO for the HPCR ISB series, but I can't find it now. Perhaps someone has a pointer to the spec?

Thanks,
Dale

Run the oil through a centrifuge and you'll be fine.

That's right Raspy. What they are looking for is ANY untaxed fuel being used.
