When do you turn on your high idle?
FastZilly, you ain't seen NOTHING yet.
I'd have heated seats put in. Gurnee dodge knows a good shop, otherwise Riggs' Brothers is good. It's $100-200 a seat, and it's WONDERFUL in the winter. IMHO better than remote start.

I've read a few posts that say it's not then some say it is.
Mine has a build date of Feb 2003.

I think there's a TSB for fast idle (ECM controlled) - Geno's maybe...
my 03 was built in late 02, it the standard output version and it has the high idle. I just start the truck and shortly there after it ramps up to 1000rpms, when im ready to go i can just tap the break and it shuts off. So yes the 03 can have high idle
I have an early 04. (build 11-03) I have no fast idle. I have tried the cruise control thing and I have also experienced temperatures below 32 as well. The idle is always 800 rpm. The fast idle would be useful for faster warm-up, but just as important would be the use of a hydraulic PTO, which appears to be an option with the 6 speed gearbox. I am confused, when I read the eligability statement on TSB 18-037-04, it appears valid for 04.5 vehicles only. Is that so?
Secondly, does that mean that there is a difference in computers between an 04 and a 04.5 and the 04s are not upgradable? Thirdly, I am in Germany, and no one over here appears to know how to do a TSB change. I do have access to a DRB3 and the CDs. Where do I find the instructions to perform these, if it is possible at all.
