No problems what-so-ever that were not self induced. I have 67k on the clock...

68,000 miles, nothing serious, and I run this thing hard on occasion.

Nearing the end of my 7/70 powertrain warranty (gulp!):

1. Trip one to dealer (no charge, warranty work):
-connector and tranny line TSBs

2. Trip two to dealer (no charge, warranty work):
-New Ball Joints
-Power steering box leak
-Replaced stereo

3. One CEL (my bad, forgot to hook up the IAT sensor when I installed my S&B intake )

4. Had to grease my turn signal bulb bases (common overheating bulb issue)

5. Lost right turn/brake signal to trailer. Problem in FCM, will install aftermarket trailer light module.

6. Driver's seat is showing some wear, need to get seat covers I guess.

edit: 7. Passenger-side dome light switch broke, most likely from abuse (was transporting a troop of boy scouts when it happened ).

...and that's it. I'm pretty happy with it- as you might've guessed.

BTW, Looking at the previous posts it appears that the early models are holding their own.

Recirc door, A/C has leaked out all the freon, #4 Injector line (fixed under cummins warranty... BIG DEAL $65 worth).
I had a CEL last week but it only stayed on for 2 days then gone!?!?!?
Not to bad, I guess.....93k on the clock, I'm getting a little skittish.

1k - fuel filter was plugged (had asphaltines in fuel tank from factory), 10k - Temp sensor (bat location), 25k - CP3 spraying fuel all over, 33k - transfer pump died (relocated), - transmission rattle noise (would not, will not fix). Wiring to tailgate lights was wrong and I fixed that.

This is the 3rd NV5600 I have had and it is by far the worst. The first 2 were excellent. Everytime the dealer downloaded to the ECM something got messed up and had to be redone.

Been lucky up till this week. I may need a high pressure fuel pump. Anyway with 70K in the clock.

Transmission cooler line under warranty
2 stereo head units under warranty. Since went aftermarket.
Small coolant leak under warranty.
4 Ball Joints on my dime.
1 new transmission which I'm not sure needed to replaced...under warranty.
2 rear tail light assemblies at $22 each on my dime.

Other than that I think that's it other than upgrades and normal wear items.

I forgot to mention on my 3rd set of tires. First one's had the sidewalls fall apart. Replaced under pro-rated Michelin warranty. Cost me $300 for their defective tires and could only replace with another set of Michelin's.

90k 03 305/555 tow alot with it. so far

1. the Drone and i have a 51" donaldson
2. AC freezes up like its getting low on R131
3. recently developed a slight vibration insteering could be a wheel weight or loose tie rod end
4. ball joints' @ 80k miles
5. unit bearings which i swapped out for EMS hub & spindle kit

Otherwise no leaks, no other major issues truck works great. i would put it on par with my 1994 ford F350 with 7.3 and 5spd, 1997 F-250 with 5 spd, my 1998 12 valve 5 spd and my 1993 12v 5 spd. the interior and exterior of the truck is holding up just as well as thoise model years did. my ford's used to eat steering boxes for lunch so i'm kinda used to the 100k miles steering box change out and fully am prepared to do it. I will say this truck is holding up MUCH better than my 2000 F350 6 spd 7.3 and my 04 6.0h my god. the interiors on both those trucks are a little tighter but i like the ergonomics of my dodge and the storage space of the dodge much better. ball joints on my ford were notorious for lasting maybe 50k miles. and Brakes were horrible on the ford which makes no sense because i am not a brake pedal junkie. my 03 dodge has 90k miles with over 50% brake pad left and the dodge actually stops.

Rotors Turned @ 31000 when I got the truck in 05, 2 set of tires, u joint, fuel pump retro fit (common problem), ignition moduel (burnt out and stopped AC fan), governor silonoids, adjusted bands in tranny and new batteries. Now have 97000. I think the truck was run hard before I got it because of the break issues, but over all only left me stranded once when the fuel pump crashed and once when the batteries cashed out a week ago. And that time I ran out of fuel 2 miles from home, but I won't count that.

All in all it has been a great truck.

Don't know exactly what they did but said I blew out the rear end. They paid. CD player in stereo has a mind of its own but the dealer can never duplicate the problem. Wife decided the right rear door needed changing so she smashed it with a parked car. My nickel. Other than that with 34000 all OK.

Just brought my truck to dodge today since power steering is going and i could barely move the wheel sitting still, with my plow on nothing. Windshield wiper switch acts funny and doesn't work sometime. Also mention i get death wobble to see if they will change it to the new style they have out. And i'm and idiot and forgot to mention the rear pinion is damp. Ill have to call tomorrow to let them know.

at 25k miles my front ball joints and universals went covered under warranty.

Recirc door broke, removed myself and left out - problem solved. Took care of the fuel tank rollover vent recall myself. Every dime i've spent so far has been maintenance or upgrade related. Never been back to dealer since I drove it off the lot except to pick up GFs new Caliber when we bought it. For what its worth it has never been back either... 47,000 on mine and 21,000 on hers.
