What's the difference?

Anyone know the difference between the Cali 235 and the not-Cali 250? Is it just the ECM or something different? I just jumped to a 04 Cali Cummins SO....

California only had standard output engines with emissions controls. Most other states had the choice of getting the high output non emissions engine. Different ECM calibrations for higher horsepower and torque.

I got one of them H.O. engines!!!!!

IIRC the cali version also had the catalytic converter when the non CA trucks didn't. Not a big deal but it is a difference.
