I've used JT6 on tractors, trailers, and vehicles for years and never had a problem.

The most common grease used is an NLGI-2 rated chassis/wheel bearing grease.

Lithium Grease is used in the driveshaft. At least that is what the sticker under the hood of mine says. I use chassis/wheel bearing grease in the tierod ends.

I saw the sticker under the hood today. Would the Lithium grease used on the driveshaft be fine to use on the tie rod ends ya think?

Lithium grease can get pretty thin, especially when heated. I don't think the seals in the tie rods would hold the lithium grease very long. That's just an opinion. I have no actual evidence to support that.

Lithium is junk... Water and heat will kill it very fast... Get an aluminum complex grease... I use Schaeffer with Moly... I think the product number is #229 >>> Many times the staying power... Much higher temp range.... Will not wash out .... Much Much Higher film strength and doesn't cost much more than you are paying for Lithium.

Ditto on the Schaeffer's aluminum complex grease. Schaeffer's has the best grease on the market IMO.

So are you using the Schaeffers for both the tie rod ends and the driveshaft?
