my buddy has an 03 with HOT juice w/ attitude along with water/meth. blew over drive last week and wants me to order him a full DTT trans. only problem i dont know if its a 47RE or 48RE. here is the vin# can someone help me out please. thanks in advance. 1D7KU28683J538127

 

Inline...your friend has a 47re. His truck is a SO. This is according to the number 6 in the 8th position in the vin. The 48re did come in the 03 but in the HO motor after jan 03.
