I use Peak global with hoat additive. It's an extended life, so I change ever 100,000 miles. No need for a flush if it's clean coming out.

I always get the 50/50 mix on sale. It's just as cheap.

Semi trucks don't even use the filter any more, so it's a waste if you ask me.

The manuals call for HOAT. Do not mix with other coolants and dilute to 50/50 with distilled water. Change at 5 years or 100k miles.

Zerex GO-5 can be had at NAPA.

What papaduck said. The coolant Dodge requires is made for a reason, it will save you trouble down the line. HOAT, either the MOPAR or Zerex. It's 100k coolant, so don't waste your money on anything else.

The total cooling system capacity is 7.4 gallons, so if your flushing you need 3.7 gallons of G-05. If your just draining and filling you only need about 2-2.5 gallons of G05. Use distilled water to flush the system and also to dilute the coolant concentrate. You can use Valvoline Zerex G-05 HOAT coolant. The NAPA part # is ZXG051. Another is the factory fill Mopar 5 Year/100,000 Mile with (HOAT) Embittered available at dealerships. Also, the Ford / Motorcraft Premium Gold Engine Coolant - part number and CVC-7-B (Canada). They are HOAT formulated G-05 coolants.

Filtration is never a bad idea no matter what. However, that is up to you to decide if it's worth the costs associated with doing so.

Fleetguard recommends ES Complete blue. I've been using it in CTDs since my 97. I keep the additives up with DCA and that also keeps Ph up. They say I will never have to change it as long as I use the DCA. Craig
