i tried adjusting my waste gate on my 03 ho and the rod would not turn. so i shimmed the acctuator (however you spell it) out about 1/16" to start and it made a HUGE diffrence. it put me from 22psi of boost to 26. i want to shim it out a little more tommorrow and see what that does. 4psi make a huge diffrence. does anyone know what the limit is with the stock computer? ive heard everything from 30 to 35.(hopefully 35)

You may try calling Edge and seeing if you can get their boost elbow. It takes all of 5 minutes to remove and install. My wastegate would open at 22 psi and 22.25 psi with the EZ and no boost elbow. With the boost elbow and EZ I get 32 psi sometimes.<br><br>Please note, I removed my EZ once and left the boost elbow on and it threw an overboost code. I would suspect by adjusting the wastegate you're going to eventually get an overboost code if you're not manipulating the fuel somehow.

 

the wastegate is the little silver canister on the engine side of the turbo with a rod coming out of it. i just took the clip off the rod and unbolted the wastegate acctuator and put washers between it and the turbo and bolted it back on. its vary simple. ive also found out you wont throw and over boost code till you hit 30psi

mine is an ho. what exactly is the boost elbow and what does it do?

 

It's a little brass elbow that you remove from the turbo (it has a rubber hose connected to it) and replace with this new elbow. It has a smaller hole and will allow the turbo to spool up higher.
