Wait to start on 06
Yeah, we live in MT. Every night is between 45 and 55 lately and it's getting colder. My 04.5 comes on every morning but his hasn't yet. He has had the truck for two nights now.
Try the gauge/lamp check feature to make sure the lamp works.
Push and hold the odo/trip meter button while turning the ignition to "on" and hold it until all the gauges sweep and lamps light. This will verify that the lamp is working properly. If I recall, my '06 "wait to start" doesn't come on until the temps drop to 40*F.
Also, when you perform the gauge/lamp check feature, see what if any codes are displayed. Let us know if any codes are displayed.

Well...I did the lamp check and it lights up. I told him to just start it unless he sees that light up then wait for it.
