truck dies

truck dies

i have a 03 dodge 1 ton laramie single wheel with the cummins
i pulled into the drive and the truck died, i sprayed it with starting fluid and it started for a couple of seconds and died so i sprayed it again and it kept running this time the truck set overnight and i drove it 2 miles this morning and it died again and i had to spray it 2 times then it ran for about 6 miles with no troubles does anyone know what it might be thanks

Pull the codes via the key on and off 3 times trick. It sounds as if your LP has died. You can also just pull the filter lid and see if it is full of fuel and when you turn the key on, the LP should run and fill the canister again.

so if i have low voltage does that mean the pump is bad or do i have other problems

It is the small round shape on the back of the fuel filter housing. Yes, it has taken a dump. I need to know the mileage and inservice date to be able to tell you if it is under warranty or not. The warranty would be the engine warranty of 7yrs/ or 100,000 miles. AirDog 100 would be the way to go if it is out of warranty. The factory intank replacement runs about $700 bucks and is not worth it unless warranty pays for it.
