2004.5 Ram dies restarts dies

First post and not a good thing. My 2004.5 ram 2500 (with only 45K BTW no mods). Seem to just quit dead and restart. Total shut down -loses all electrical power. Code says p2509 and will clear but it keeps doing it. First they said it was loose battery cables. Then they said it was too much purple corrosion stuff on the terminals. Both fixed. Batteries tested and ok. Still will die at both speed and idle and leave me scared stupid. Had it towed home as dealer was too busy on saturday. Had a few choice words for DC salemen while i waited (and waited) for AAA to show up. Any suggestions?

Fill out your sig so we know what you have.

Bad batteries can cause all kinds of wierd issues.....not saying that's your problem but it is something to check. Also, check your grounds and make sure they are good and tight. Kinda sounds like ECM is losing power but you say it starts back up after it dies. Hmmmmm????

P2509.....ECM/PCM power input signal intermittent. Sounds like bad batteries or possible ground issue. Someone else with more info is sure to chime in.

Have you checked for any other codes that might be stored? Any low voltage readings?

Batteries were tested and are relatively new. Pass side 800 cv drivers side 1100 cv. Looked under neath and wires to ac have oil all over from sloppy oil change I pushed connector to a/c and it seemed to close up tighter. Recently had to so CA smog thing could they have messed with something?

How do you add the info stuff that sticks with posts?

Sounds like it may be a ignition switch. Have it checked.
