Got the 1st to second hunt. Changed fluid about 10k ago. Truck has 116k with maybe 20% towing trailer under 10k.Tried the front band adjustment backed off the locking nut and got my inch pounds torque wrench . When I tried to adjust it was so loose it took a while for resistance went to 72 inch pounds backed off 1 3/4 turns . Started truck put it in reverse and it felt like the trans was binding . Wouldn't back up. Had to loosen the adjuster adjusted it again same thing. So I backed it off till it felt ok. Transmission time? Any advise would be helpfull

 

I would do the BW gov pressure solenoid and Mopar pressure transducer, adjust BOTH banks and see..............

 

I did the transducer and selonoi today. Shifts like it should again

 

Same issue with all 48RE trans..... A new Gov Pressure solenoid and transducer usually do the trick.... Glad yours is back up and running!

 

Should be a stickie on this....
FYI, if you have a 48RE, replace both and keep going. Has anyone not had this issue??
