05 six speed just installed caltracs to stop axel wrap I still get a ca chuk noise at city speed if you get on and of throttle quick. Already har one piece drive shaft. Pinion movement turning drive shaft is about 3/8 or so it's alway been about that. Any body have issues with trans mounts wearing out or getting loose.

Sounds normal, all of my manuals over the years car and truck would make a clunk if I got on it at low speeds, the drive-train is direct connect, there is no slippage like an Auto.

 

Front driveshaft?

I pulled mine, it had play in the spline sections. I'm sure that doesn't help the clunk I get when I don't drive smooth on the Go pedal.

 

Sounds similar to a somewhat common problem I had and have again with the tranny mount bolts shearing. Happens to alot of manual trucks with g56 6sp and can be a number of causes from broken motor mount to cracked housing on the trans...search g56 trans mount.
