Tranny blew in my 07 5.9 Help??

Tanny just blew in our 07 5.9 mega cab 60 k miles.
Was told to not let a local tranny shop rebuild it, but to put a jasper or monster transmission in it with a billet converter, and this would fix problem

Can anybody help?

How much power do you want?

How much do you want to spend?

Where are you located?

Lots of options, lots of sources. Sometimes your local shops are just as good or better than shipping from 1000 miles away.

Short answer: georend and DTT seem to have the best reputations.

Why can't you buy a rebuilt trans from a Dodge dealer? I got a rebuilt trans last year for 1 of my trucks a Ford F250 with a 3 year 100,000 warranty nationwide from the Ford dealer. and the price was less then jasper or any local shop. Remember if Joe Blow rebuilds it for you and the truck goes down 1,000+ miles away from home your on your own.

Why don't you start a new thread asking "I live XXX, any good builders around?" having a close builder makes warranty work much easier.

I am at 100k and original transmission. I would get a Goerend in a blink of an eye.

In fact that's my goal as soon as I'll feel any problem with mine.

Blew out what, clutch piston seal, actuator piston, inputshaft. I'd want to know what part failed myself, and go from their building up a better one. Have a local shop do it for you, and you could supply the upgraded parts. I used to rebuild them for gM, but don't have the place anymore to do my own transmissions, so that's what I've been doing . I just had a shop do my wife' s GTP, and I supplied the good parts to do it with.
