trading the 98 for a 04.5 3500

like the title says im looking to trade my 98 on a 04.5 3500 qc dualy with a 6er. the truck is the dark or deep maroon(purple) it has had a chip/ gauges the manifold has a plug in it. it has a big line kit with a air dog pump. it straight piped goosneck hitch the truck is straight in over all good shape. it has 128,000mi on it and i got them down to 14,000 what would be a fair trade for my 98-mods? i was thinking 3k-4k diff.

what should i look for im not familar with the common rails, i plan to get a juice/atd and that will be it for now.....

Good looking truck, I like the color. They probably won't give you as much for your truck as you could sell it outright for. Good luck.

I like my 3rd gen a lot better

Personally I think none of the third gen issues are even close to the VP44 issues

I guess im confused. Im on here everyday and I don't really recall reading any "electronic" issues with the 3rd gens. Maybe Lift pumps or A/C blend door issues yes, but no real electronic issues on the 3rd gen Cummins. What are they?

I see a whole lot more threads about guys trading in older trucks for the 3rd gens than the other way around.
