Traction Bar Question?

What are you all doing with the preload on traction bars for daily driving? Do you increase the preload when going to the track? Thanx

I ran mine with about a 1/2 turn of preload.Anything more caused some binding issues for around town driving.Lots of popping and creaking when entering parking lots with any slope. If you dont preload them you will hear them beat and bang when the suspension is working. To much preload and it threw my driveline angle off and caused a vibration.I shimmed the carrier bearing to fix it but went back to a 1/2 turn and called it good.

Gotta love those bolt-on suspension binders, I mean, er, um "traction" bars.

I agree with Homewrecker... I actually have about 1 full turn of preload.... I addeded another 1/2 inch of spacer to my 3" carrier drop... no more vibration, but I do get some creaking, but it's worth it, specially when towing.
