at 56000 on mine towing a 53' racecar trailer coast to coast up and down mountains and passing all the fords and chevys i come up on.
love this automatic. my last one was an 03 with 6 shooter,it was great too.

Last two CTD have been manuals will never own another Dodge truck with auto. . . .If your working it you need a manual tranny, or deep pockets.

manuls break too on my 2nd it started going out at 11k which was 2 months after i bought this thing. the manuals will break because i have busted every model dodge offers

I have alot of faith in this new auto!! I will be a good g. pig for this auto. Im just deciding on 3.73 or 4.10 now.

Very happy with the six speed manual, seems to have a gear for wherever you want to be.
Don't get 4:10's though, 3:73's are just right. you can still get about 20k plus truck moving from a stop without any trouble.

I take it your talking about 6 manual. If I were to get the manual, i would do 373 AND NOT DO gear vendor od cause u cant haul regualar and do that. Im talking about the new 68re

my .02 is with some of the others... towing heavy a lot get the manual. Lots of family time, city traffic or commuting or racing its the auto all the way.

When the aisin is available to all, it will be the best of all worlds. And the 68rfe is NOT the aisin. The aisin is much more heavy duty. Actually, it is the only "medium duty" transmission to be had in the light truck market just like our "Cummins" engine.

i'm with the rest. manuel all the way. i will never own an auto again. all my trucks are manuels right now. 10 speed down to a 5 speed. can be a pain in trafice. but it's worth it to me.
