Tire Choices
They have little vibration, but I have had many people shocked with how smooth my truck rides with that type of tread. Just the right noise level. I like a little hum, very happy with them. I think I paid $50 to have my speedometer reset to the size of the tires.
I tried to put 35's on my truck, and even with the leveling pods and the air bags filled up to 50lbs they were still rubbing. I was told that you would need to have a 5" lift installed to get the proper wheel travel.

Find a wheel with a backspacing closer to the stock wheels and 35's will fit without a leveling kit even. There are many forum members doing this.
Tires, tires, tires. I want them but who can afford them? I like the looks of the Toyo M/Ts you all are taking about. I have been comparing prices and brands for two month trying to find a tire that won't plug up in mud but will also not wear off after 10,000 miles on the highway. Any suggestions for 285s? One reason not to buy a dually, you have to buy SIX!
4x4 dually , I'm a heavy puller, dually, I know how you feel check this thread and my post. ks

I have 315's and a 2" spacer with no rubbing at all.
I hace even done some pretty good 4 wheelin with no rubbing.
As long as you are using the OE back spacing I'd think you
should be fine with the 315's

Do you all think that in the near future that there will be tires available in 265/75-85 series for the 17 inch rims. I would rather go a little taller and not wider. I'm more of a mileage guy and don't want to increase the rolling resistance when I'm driving and towing. And I tow about 75% of the time. I realize that they will not handle quite as well as the 70's, but I drive like a Granny and doubt that it would be a big deal!!!
