I have an 04 1/2 ram 6 speed is the speed gov or a rpm gov on my truck from the factory due to haveing 4 10 gears are anything just tring to know if its my gearing that its not as fast as i thought or is there something limiting my truck and the edge computer

 

It is somehow RPM or speed limited. My truck tops out a little past 90. I think the RPM was near 3400. Going down hill didn't improve my top speed either! hahah

The Cummins has a high idle set-point in the ECM. Once you reach it, you're done. There may also be a speed limiter set-point to limit vehicle speed, not sure. If there isn't a vehicle speed limiter, whatever speed you make it to when the engine reaches high idle in top gear is all you can get. Only way around it is to alter the RPM limiter.
If you're just looking for accelleration, not top speed, its just a matter of adding fuel and increasing boost.
Taller tires or a gear swap can help lower the RPM and increase vehicle speed, but you will have to recalibrate the speedo for the different ratios..

 

With a bully dog triple dog u can remove the speed limiter and raise the RPM up to 4100.

 

mine got up to 3200 rpm and won't go any further. that's to protect the engine. at 3200 rpm and 373 gears my speedo was reading 115mph.....
