I use CO-OP DMO 0W40, $5 a liter/quart. Good stuff too, check it out.

can u run normal lubefiner or fleetguard oil filers with amsoil or do u need the $45 amsoil oil filter?

Heck yeah! I run nothing but Fleetguard Stratopores. I'm sure the Amsoil filter is nice, but it ain't $45 nice!

If you get a prefered membership to Amsoil, $10US, and order 15K worth of oil then its $115 CAN plus shiping, including the $10. If you don't then its $138 CAN plus shipping...

If you plan to run the oil more than 7500 run the amsoil filter.. it holds more and filters finer, period... and they are not $45, try mid $20's.. One amsoil is cheaper than 2 stratapores.
