Any one have experiance with all of these? I want to get one and i'm not sure what to do. I'd prefer a real one (non card board) and i've heard the mopar one is expensive but I don't know how much. Is the mopar one different than the geno's one? TIA

 

When winter comes around I always pick up a xl pizza for the family. I think I have done this the last 4 years and it has been pretty successful for me ..... and fullfilling.

 

The mopar one is a little bigger, cover up to the headlights. The Geno one cover up the whole radiator front. The openings in the middle is different, but work the same way.
Check out the thread about "electricity use on block heater" for pic of the mopar one. Also check out the Geno's website. I think they function the same way, may be the mopar one is a little bit more efficient since it covers more.

 

I have the Mopar 1 and love it .Fits great and I have had it since 2004 when I got the truck.I would buy it again.

 

I have talked the local Qwik Stop out of their old signs the last few years. Their plastic/cardboard signs are nice.

 

Second the Mopar, it installs easy and fits great, wouldnt get anything else.

 

I have the Mopar as well for my 06' and it's been great for the last 3 winters.

 

I like the Pizza box I've used the cardboard and it works very well up here in NY. It's also easy to pull out if you have to, you can put it in and take it out in under 3 minutes and doesn't collect ice or snow. Fits neatly between the radiator and the intercooler. All I do is fold over the excess on top and that keeps it in place.

Does the cardboard deteriorate after it gets wet? How much of the rad do you guys try to cover? I need to do this myself since I'm still running the 180 stat and don't feel like pulling it out again.

 

I've tried the cardboard one, but when it gets REALLY cold, I mean REALLY, REALLY cold. The -40 ambient temperature and then the windchill on top of that put it into the -50's, the absolute best one I've found is the mopar winterfront.

 

I just talked to the dealer and they quoted me $144 for the mopar one. Geno's winter front is on sale next month putting it at $72. Is the mopar one really that much better?

 

I ran it all last Winter and the funny part is, It didn't get wet! When I took it out in the Spring it looked just the way it did when I put it in.

 

Looks like I will be trying this out soon. I sell cardboard so getting a piece the right size will be no issue for me. I'm too cheap to buy a real winter front....

 

What it the purpose for this and when would you use it (@ what temp)?
