Syncromax or Syncromesh

Hey guys I have been doing a lot of reading but cant find the answer?
I want to change the fluids in the truck I just bought and from what I have read (dont have a manual yet, dealer has it on order) I need
4l for the rear diff of syn 75/90 GL5
3l for the front diff of syn 75/90 GL5
5l synchromesh for the trans
transfer case ?????
I bought the royal purple 75/90 today but the royal purple synthetic trans oil is called synchromax is that as good?
Also what and how much for the tcase?

RP syncromax is the lighter stuff for the 6spd and it's the best working lube I've tried in mine. Maxgear is the diff lube (and some trans) like 75w90, 75w140 or 85w140. I put 6 qts in my nv5600 and 5 qts in my 11.5" diff.(both overfilled). I don't know about the transfer case. Craig

The transfer case on autos calls for ATF+4... does the 6-speed use the same transfer case and therefore the same oil? Or is that a stupid assumption?

6 QTS!!!! wow
I thought I read somewhere that it takes 4.2 to fill so I bought 5
I guess I will go pick up another one tomorrow.

Hopefully someone that knows will chime in and also tell us the amount needed.

It will be full at about 4.5 qts but most people overfill for better lubrication.

There was just a thread about using RP Synchromax in the G56s and working well and they call for atf4 so it might be good for the xfer case, too. I think a bunch of guys put 5 -6 qts in the nv5600s. There was also a thread recently about that and some guy got an nv5600 back from a rebuilder and it had a tag on it saying to fill with 6 qts. Take out the top pto cover bolt and squirt it in thu that hole. Pull a pto cover off while it is drained so you can mop up all the old oil and take the rubber magnet out of the bottom and wipe it off each change so you can see how much wearmetal is collecting. I drilled and tapped a drain hole in my 6spd. Craig
