The rear axles ARE different, if you can find someone who wants to do a swap, that IS the easiest way to get it done. The front axles are the same, you need a pair of Dodge spacers for the front.
If you cannot find someone to do a swap, you can also check with salvage yards to see if they have what you need. You can also check the classifieds on the truck forums, every so often you will see someone with a dually axle for sale.
Some have also done spacers to turn their SRW's into DRW's, you will need 2" spacers for a stock dually setup/wheels/tires, and if you are thinking of running 33's or 35's, then a 2-1/2" spacer is better for spring pack clearance on the inside wheels. I did a truck with spacers in 1990, it is still being driven with the spacers/dually wheels/tires and used around my place for towing and so forth without any problems to this day.
I did a SRW -> DRW swap with a fellow who wanted to do DRW -> SRW, we swapped axles, wheels/tires, because our trucks were different colors, I swapped him my fender flares for his dually fenders, he just did some body work to cover the bolt holes.
It is easy to swap the axles, takes about 2-1/2 to 3 hours.
