sounds like turbo bad not sure....

It all started when i would not get very good boost. I pulled the hose to my wastegate becouse the command valve was premuturly leaking and opening the waste gate. So i pluged the hose. and was able to get great boost. But now under a load I get this strange noise like my truck burps most boost. egt's stay down and boost drops about 10psi.I think i'm going to order a new command valve and reconnect the wastgate. What do you think it is, could it be fuel shutting down and doing this or is the turbo bad. no engine codes, i'm not sure what to do...

You could be blowing the wastegate open with drive pressure. I would do it at about 55 psi of drive pressure, which was 35ish psi of boost.

Drive pressure is the pressure in the exhaust manifold, runs about 2:1 on a stock turbo under WOT.

It's possible.

Is there a way to tell if the wastegate is working properly without having a boost guage? I ask because I dont usually feel the truck take off until myr rpm's are close to 1800-2000...

If your stock and it's not working properly you will get a code for a solenoid fault.

Only way to fix it is with a different turbo, but you can reduce the effects with a working command valve.
