Let them fix it for you, and then see how it goes. Every shop has a broblem case now and then.
Your going to trade for an Obamabile because YOUR go fast parts are breaking? Good luck getting a warranty job on a Chevy now. I wouldn't put my money toward anything the government puts it's fingers in. It won't be long before they're gone.
So you've got all this money in the truck to make it a race car already, just have HTS fix it and then enjoy it.
I wish I could have a built trans. Really I do. I think you're right in expecting a built trans to handle some abuse. I just don't think you should jump off a cliff over it. Make them fix it right this time.

Wrong... Like said, your either using the wrong tranny builder or not giving them a chance to fix a fluke issue that might happen. The 48RE is not rocket science and can be built for 100,000+ issue free miles under high HP and abuse. Look at the bright side, it's not a 68RFE.

Just too much crap inside them to break. I'll never own another if I decide to sell this one off.

When I sold my last Cummins (MANUAL G56) and got this new 1500 HEMI AUTO I also got the Premium Chrysler Warranty...WHY...AUTO's are all junk....May take 200,000 miles....but they are all junk......I have NEVER had a problem with the NV5600 and the G56's I have had and that is Towing/Grossing 24k. I had 2 auto's behind the Cummins. A 47re / ...... Then a 48re ...... Both were terrible..... I LOVE DODGE trucks and the 1500 does not come with a Manual so I had to settle with the auto. WHEN she breaks it is on Chryslers dime. No Power adders or abuse here either. Auto's are May-Pop's..... May not pop today......May not pop tomorrow.....BUT they are going to POP at the worst time.......Change your Manual tranny fluid, and take care of your running gear and a manual will last a loooooooooong time!!

Get a Manual installed on your truck and forget about it

Saw an 05 Dodge Cummins today with 335,000 on the ticker.....48RE all original and stock....spent most of it's life towing. Still runs like a champ.

I've seen post from hot shotters who have had over 400,000 miles on a 48re auto trans without it being rebuilt, just normal service.
