Shifting Problems need help
I have a 2004.5, 6 speed NV5600, Southben 1947 Con Fe clutch 135,000 miles. I am having issues putting my truck in gear. When i press on the clutch i have to find a gear that will work then go to second gear to take off. Once it starts shifting it works great. When i stop at a stop light it has the same problem but not every time. I installed the southben heavy duty clutch assembly about 2 years ago, i hope that is the problem but not for sure. Please help.
I do not believe so unless it came with the sb clutch kit. I changed my oil yesterday so I can do the cheapest solution first. The reason I even changed it is because I had my oil changed 2 months ago and the wrong oil was put in.
What oil was put in that was incorrect? How many miles in those two months? Did you tow anything or drive the truck hard?
The NV5600 is pretty particular about fluids, and the right oil will make all the difference in the world. Changing from factory to Redline MTL made mine shift much, much easier, and even reduced the number of flubbed 4-5 shifts.

Well 75 85 synthetic and around 3000 miles or so. I haven't pulled anything during that time just gunned it a few times because it was out of commission for a while. No burnouts or racing.
