in search of stock tires and wheels
dealer tells me that my bfg 285's are the cause of the vibration. BUT IT WAS DOIN IT WITH THE STOCK 265 MIC'S!! i keep telling them that and thay said "bring it in on the stock tires"
thay "road force" tested my tires and said 3 out of 4 are out of spec. i dont know what that means, but im going to go to the tire place tomarrow to see if thats true or not. what the heck is a road force test?
im so confused, all i know is it was viberating with the stockers on.
anybody know of anybody that has a set of stock tires for cheep? or a set on wheels that i can barrow?
what do i do next, im kinda lost.

I'll sell you a pretty decent set of rims for 200 bucks. Im in Akron. The rims came off my 03. I ran em for a hundred thousand miles, so they've got a couple minor dings, but they still look good.

I have three tires(one was toasted when it went flat, nail through the sidewall), basically new with only a thosand miles on them. I'm in Fairborn if these will work for you. They are the black walled Mich. stock tires for 2006 Mega. E-load rating
Thanks, Mark

Here's some info on "Road Force" balancing.

I would ask the dealer to swap a set of wheels & tires off of one of his new trucks onto yours for a test drive and tell him "if the problem goes away,, I will too".

??? aren't these standard tires on the Power Wagons? I know the PW's can disconnect the sway bar, but what else is different? I would find a different dealer IMO.

It's definately NOT because your tires are 285's. Now you may Have gotten some bad tires, but it doesn't sound like that since it happened w/ your old tires too.
Surely someone near you would swap tires and wheels I'd think. I have Dodge wheels on my CHev right now w/ 265's, but I'm too far away, sorry.
